At Rest

Vehic/Purs
City worker and pedestrian Matt Hersl was struck and killed by the driver of a black Acura TL that came off the interstate at 100 MPH while being chased, hit Hersl, and flipped over. Controversially, the troopers in pursuit first let the suspect go because his driving didn't rise to obvious gross negligence, and to charge him with a lesser offense would have blocked more serious charges. Eventually, the driver was sentenced to nine years.
This record exists so that Matthew S. Hersl, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
