Less-than-lethal force
Russo grew combative with police and EMS personnel when they were called to his home. Police tasered him and EMS gave Russo a sedative to calm him down. Russo began having trouble breathing, EMS officials administered medical aid. He was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
