Officer Andrew Mathias attempted to stop driver Josh Boos‚ 20‚ and passenger Matthew Redding‚ 15‚ in a 1977 race-modified Chevrolet Camaro for multiple alleged traffic offenses. Mathias said he called off the pursuit after losing sight of the Camaro and then came upon the crash, which killed Boos and Redding.
