Around 1:51 a.m., troopers attempted a traffic stop of a car when the driver took off. When the other went under I-71, a 9 mm handgun allegedly was thrown from the driver's side of the other. Richard Darnell Aarons, 38, allegedly exited at Denison/Harvard Avenue at a high-rate of speed and struck a guardrail and a utility pole. The driver was injured and the passenger, Marvin Caesar Thornton, was killed.
