While homeless street preacher Booker was being processed in Denver city jail, four deputies and a sergeant tasered him, put him in a "sleeper hold", and restrained him by laying on top of him. The physically slight Booker lost consciousness and died. In October 2014 a jury awarded his family $4.65M, one of a string of multimillion dollar settlements in Denver.
