Langford was fatally shot when police responded to a report of a stolen other at the parking lot of the Mana Kai Resort. When police arrived, they found Langford in the other. Police say he attempted to flee, and while doing so, allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at an officer. The officer shot and killed him.
