Driving on a learner's permit around 1 a.m. and with two more teen boys riding in the cab, and two in the bed, Reynolds drew the attention of two local police departments, chasing him at high speeds. After dodging a spike-strip Reynolds apparently misjudged a driveway for a road, slamming into a pine at full speed. He died, one passenger sent to ICU, the others also injured.
