At 7 pm, a Montana Highway Patrol trooper made a traffic stop. Upon contact, the trooper identified the driver, Mark Johnston Parker, had a weapon, and during the incident, the driver discharged a firearm and sustained injuries to the head. The trooper reportedly deployed a Taser, but did not fire a gun.
