Officers responded to Lyell Avenue around 4:21 a.m. for a ShotSpotter activation. Police said cameras caught a other leaving and was later seen on Glasser Street, where officers attempted a traffic stop. During the stop, Mark D. Gaskill allegedly was seen "brandishing" a handgun. Two Rochester police officers shot and killed him.
