Medina died as her Mercedes violently collided with the Mercedes of a fleeing murder suspect, Antonio Feliu, in a high-speed police chase. Feliu killed himself with a pistol after the crash. County deputies and SWAT members set up an hour-long "standoff," filmed by news helicopters, unaware that Feliu was already dead.
