About 2:49 a.m., police said officers encountered Mario Benjamin while responding to two ShotSpotter activations and a report of a person lying in the road. Benjamin allegedly shot and wounded a woman in a domestic violence incident. Officer Jason Wolff shot and killed Benjamin after reportedly telling him to drop his weapon.
