Deadly force

Around midnight an officer approached a parked other. Tafara Williams was in the driver's seat; her boyfriend Marcellis Stinnette was in the front passenger seat. The officer claimed he had a warrant for Stinnette's arrest. When he didn't produce the warrant, Williams drove off. Minutes later, another police officer approached the car on foot. The officer alleged that Williams reversed the car and attempted to hit him, so he open fired on the other, wounding Williams and killing Stinnette. The officer was fired for not turning his body cam on and other procedural errors. Dash cam video from another officer showed that Williams did not attempt to run over the officer who shot. Multiple lawsuits have been filed in the case.
