Greenville County police said a Bi-Lo manager called 911 to report that a man had entered the supermarket with a shotgun. Sheriff's deputies and Greenville city police arrived minutes later, surrounding the supermarket with guns drawn and assisting in the evacuation of employees and customers. Maranda Leigh "Mandy" Williams was shotgunned to death after being held hostage for almost two hours.
