Manuel Rosales fatally shot NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo and wounded a second officer as police approached his car. The encounter began when Rosales broke into an apartment where his estranged wife had been staying with their 3-year-old son and another woman. He was shot and killed by a second pair of officers.
