Police were investigating a home invasion. Officers stopped a other that had three suspects inside. Police arrested two suspects, but the third suspect, Lopez, fled. Police chased Lopez into Glenn's Pre-owned Appliance store near 14th and Central. According to KCK police, Lopez pulled out a gun and fired shots at officers. Police returned fire, killing him.
