At about 5 p.m., DCSO deputies and state troopers responded to a report of a man with a gun at Siouxland Estates Mobile Home Park. As officers arrived, two men left a house. A third man, Manuel Adrian Ortiz-Ruiz, allegedly came out with a handgun and fired at police. Officers returned fire, killing Ortiz-Ruiz. Deputy Anthony D. Bos was reportedly shot in the lower left leg.
