Mais Ghazi Masalmeh
Mais Ghazi Masalmeh was killed during a missile attack linked to the ongoing Iran–Israel conflict, where Iranian missiles were fired toward Israel and intercepted, causing debris to fall in Palestinian areas.

Biography
Mais Ghazi Masalmeh was a 17-year-old Palestinian teenager from Beit Awwa, a town near Hebron in the occupied West Bank. She was among a group of women gathered at a local beauty salon when missile debris struck the building during a regional escalation involving Iranian missile attacks. Mais was killed by shrapnel in what became the first reported Palestinian fatalities in the West Bank linked to the 2026 Iran–Israel conflict.
Mais Ghazi Masalmeh lived in Beit Awwa, a Palestinian town southwest of Hebron, where daily life is shaped by the broader political and security realities of the occupied West Bank. At just 17 years old, she was part of a younger generation growing up amid recurring tensions in the region. On the evening of 18 March 2026, Mais was at a neighborhood beauty salon along with other women, reportedly preparing ahead of the upcoming Eid al-Fitr. During a wave of Iranian missile launches targeting Israel, one projectile—or fragments from its interception—fell into the area. The salon was struck by shrapnel, causing devastating injuries. Mais was among those killed in the blast. Her death, along with the other victims, highlighted the vulnerability of Palestinian civilians, who often lack access to protective infrastructure such as bomb shelters.
