Mahmoud Mohammad Sammoudi, 12, was a Palestinian child from Al-Yamoun town, west of Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. He died on October 10, 2022, from critical gunshot wounds sustained during an Israeli military invasion of Jenin and its refugee camp on September 28, 2022. Mahmoud was one of dozens injured when Israeli forces opened fire during the raid that killed four other Palestinians.

Mahmoud Mohammad Sammoudi was a 12-year-old boy who lived in Al-Yamoun, a town west of Jenin in the northern West Bank. Like many children in his community, Mahmoud grew up under the constant threat of military incursions, with limited access to safety or normalcy. On September 28, 2022, Israeli forces launched a violent invasion of Jenin and its refugee camp, killing four Palestinian men and wounding dozens of others in a brutal assault marked by live ammunition and aggressive house raids.

During the raid, Mahmoud was critically wounded by Israeli army fire. He was rushed to a hospital, underwent emergency surgery, and remained in intensive care for nearly two weeks. Despite the efforts of Palestinian medical teams, his injuries were too severe, and he succumbed to his wounds on October 10, 2022.
