Police allege that Madeline Lynch and an accomplice were working together in the theft of a black Dodge Durango. Police spotted the stolen Durango, driven by Lynch, being closely followed by a man in a Honda. The man in the Honda was the "chase car" designed to lure police away from the stolen Durango. Additional police were called to stop both vehicles. But Lynch fled, lost control and fatally crashed down an embankment.
