Deadly force

A Denver police 911 operator received a call from a man identifying himself as Lyle Larsen. The caller stated that he was "going to kill someone or himself" and that "he was going nuts." When officers arrived at the address, Larsen was waiting on the porch with a large knife. He began to comply with police orders to drop the knife, but then seemed to prepare to attack, and he was shot and killed.
