Deadly force
According to the Star Tribune, police were called after Barrett shot at a car. But when police arrived, Barrett came toward them with a 12-inch filet knife and meat cleaver. Police say he declined to drop the weapons, and police shot him after trying to stop Barrett with pepper spray and batons.
