Around 9 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a home. There, three officers encountered Lloyd Grant McClung, Jr., who was armed with a shotgun. The officers ordered McClung to drop his weapon, which he ignored. He allegedly continued advancing toward the officers, who shot and killed him.
