A Jacksboro officer and a Jack County deputy were dispatched to a home on a domestic disturbance call. Two women were able to escape and met officers near the Jack County Memorial Park. Vanessa K. Massengale, reported that she had been assaulted by her husband, Lewis E. Massengale II. Officers attempted to contact Lewis, but were unsuccessful. Police entered the residence at 7:27 a.m. and found Lewis dead.
