Leslie Vaughan was fatally shot by police when he allegedly drove his car off of the street in the direction of officers who were interviewing a man in front of an apartment building . Vaughan had allegedly killed his mother in a downtown apartment before the deadly confrontation, police said. Police alleged vehicular assault.
