Leotoles J. Reid was killed when the 1998 Ford Taurus he was driving ran off state Route 178 in Accomack County and struck a ditch and a telephone pole at 3:12 a.m., police said. Reid, who was thrown from the car, died at the scene. State police said Reid had allegedly fled from a traffic stop. The Exmore Police Department was the primary pursuer in the chase.
