At Rest

Deadly force
County officers and SWAT team members responded to a domestic disturbance and reportedly found Lemuel Rufus Furr III agitated, likely drunk, armed, and suicidal. Furr had already shot and wounded his son, and explicitly told officers on a phone call that he wanted to kill and be killed, "in a blaze of glory". When Furr emerged with a gun in each hand, and two more later discovered in his front pockets, he was fatally shot once by a police sniper.
This record exists so that Lemuel Rufus Furr III, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
