Police had been following Lazzeri James Frazier Jr. after identifying him as a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man in Sherman Oaks, as well as the robbery of a Van Nuys liquor store. He was shot and killed by police about 10:20 a.m., allegedly as he brandished a gun while fleeing on foot from police attempting to arrest him.
