Larry Travis was fatally shot outside his home about 11:30 p.m. He was killed by a 27-year-old officer who answered a disturbance call and said Travis started to reach for a pistol in his waistband. Travis' weapon turned out to be a BB gun that resembled a .22 caliber pistol.
