Police said they arrested Larry Dean Crump Jr. on suspicion of cocaine possession while executing a search warrant at around 9 p.m. According to police, Crump told the Special Response Team that he had ingested a controlled substance. Lt. Wayne Wu said: "First he said marijuana, then later he said it was cocaine." Per Wu, Crump cooperated with police after some initial resistance, and no physical force was used. Crump reportedly died in an emergency room shortly after midnight.
