Biography
Keyvan Moradi Mirani was a 37-year-old Kurdish Iranian labourer and athlete, and a father of one child. He joined protests in Shahr-e Qods on January 8, 2026, where security forces opened fire on demonstrators. He was fatally shot and went missing for several days before his family located his body at the Kahrizak forensic center. His funeral was later held in his home village of Kamak-e Olya in Asadabad.
Keyvan Moradi Mirani was a Kurdish citizen of Iran known as a hardworking labourer and active athlete within his community. At 37 years old, he was also a father, supporting his family while maintaining involvement in sports. On January 8, 2026, as protests spread across Tehran Province and other parts of Iran, he took part in demonstrations in Shahr-e Qods.
