At Rest

Less-than-lethal force
Jefferson County paid $1.6 million to settle a federal civil rights lawsuit involving the death of a 23-year-old man while in custody but not yet booked at the county jail. The lawsuit alleged excessive force and failure to secure medical care for Kevin W. Bledsoe, who died shortly after being taken to the jail after deputies responded to a call of a public disturbance in Port Hadlock.
This record exists so that Kevin Wayne Bledsoe, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
