At Rest

Less-than-lethal force
LaDay crashed his car in Lumberton. Officers responded. He left the scene of the accident. Officers tasered and struck him as he resisted arrest. LaDay lost consciousness. He died at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Two independent autopsies given to a grand jury made conflicting statements about the extent of LaDay's blunt force injuries and the amount of PCP in his system. The death was the subject of a new Black Panther Party protest.
This record exists so that Kevin Jibreel LaDay, and all who are named in this archive, are never reduced to a number.
