According to the Cook County medical examiner's office, Kevin Davis choked to death on a "foreign body" after being arrested in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. Davis had been arrested at about 7:40 p.m. on a drug charge. At some point, Davis allegedly tried to swallow a packet of drugs and started choking. Davis was pronounced dead at the hospital at 8:28 p.m.
