Officers were serving a search warrant at a room at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort at 8 a.m. Police took two men into custody without incident, but a third man, Kenneth Michael Dallas, who was armed, refused to leave the room and barricaded himself inside. Deputies responded and tried to negotiate with Dallas for several hours. Deputies broke into the room where police say Dallas confronted the deputies and threatened them with a gun, and deputies shot and killed him.
