Deadly force
Deputies saw a van reported fleeing from a bank robbery and pursued it. Shots were reportedly fired from the van during the pursuit. When the van crashed, Kendrick Amest and four other men fled on foot. One man reportedly pointed a gun and Amest reportedly shot at the deputies, who returned fire, wounding the man and killing Amest. Amest may have been shot in the back.
