Deadly force

An employee at a pharmacy called police to report that McLeod had tried to use a fake prescription, police said. The responding officer spotted McLeod in a parking lot near the pharmacy and fatally shot him after he reached "around to the small of his back and abruptly [whipped] his hand around and [pointed] it toward the officer, as if with a weapon," according to authorities.
