Officer Stephen Roach was conducting speed enforcement on northbound Interstate 75 when he saw a BMW speeding more than 100 mph about 1 a.m., police said. Roach pursued the other until the BMW drove off the side of an exit ramp and slammed into a guardrail, killing Logan Cooper.
