Merrillville police said they'd been seeking Keenan McCain in connection with a woman's murder at a Merrillville hotel. Gary police said they caught up with McCain at about 2 p.m. at a residence. McCain said he was armed and fired at police. He was shot and killed during an exchange of gunfire.
