Deadly force

Officers responded to Kay Kenniker's home about 5 p.m. on reports of a possibly suicidal man armed with a gun, police said. Officers found Kenniker standing on the front lawn of his mobile home with a gun in hand. He allegedly shot at officers once. Kenniker went back inside of the home and emerged in the backyard with a rifle. He allegedly raised the rifle toward the officers in the backyard, and two Chandler officers shot and killed him.
