Deadly force
Damond, in her pajamas, went to the patrol car's driver's side door and was talking to the driver. The officer in the passenger seat shot Damond through the driver's side door. She had reportedly called 911 because she thought she heard noises behind her home. The officer was later guilty of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
