Around 1:36 p.m., an officer saw a driver, Justin Wilson, passing him at high speeds in the opposite direction. The officer turned his other around in an attempt to stop the Nissan Altima, but the officer reportedly lost sight of it on a curve. Once the officer approached the curve, he saw the other in the wood line where Woods had struck a utility pole. The officer tried to reach Wilson, but was unable due to downed power lines. Wilson was killed in the wreck.
