A woman called police about 7:18 p.m. and reported that her child's father, Justin Shepherd, had a gun to his head at their home. Police said Shepherd repeatedly told officers to shoot him. Officers used tear gas, beanbag rounds and Tasers on Shepherd to force him out of the home, but he refused to come out and shot and killed himself, police said.
