Police tracked Justin Cairns, who was accused of killing Cyrus Jones, to a home in Nine Mile Falls. They contacted Cairns outside of the house. Police Chief Frank Straub said Cairns came outside and shut off the lights. Police said Cairns failed to follow commands and took off running. Police shot and killed him when he allegedly reached for his waistband. Cairns turned out to be unarmed.
