Officers spotted a stolen car in Murrieta. When they tried to stop the driver of the car, Junef Monzon, he fled, police said. After leading police in a chase up the freeway, Monzon got off on Bundy Canyon Road in Wildomar and continued down several city streets before crashing into a fence. After crashing into the fence, he crashed into multiple Murrieta police cruisers before driving toward officers, who shot and killed him. Police alleged vehicular assault.
