Three burglary suspects in a car being tracked by two police vehicles and a helicopter fled at speeds up to 95 MPH through neighborhood streets until it plowed into a bus stop, killing the car's driver Juan P. Alvarez and two of those waiting for a bus, Bertha Acuna and her boyfriend Richard Rojas. The police chief told reporters, "It was not what we consider to be a police chase."
