Suicide

At 1:17 p.m., Lexington Police responded after receiving a 911 call from a 13-year-old child reporting a breaking and entering involving domestic violence in progress. Upon arrival at the residence, the first officer found Juan Carlos Lopez-Sierra outside the residence. Lopez-Sierra fired at least two shots with a long gun at the Lexington police officer, striking his patrol car and grazing his body. He then fled toward the residence. At approximately 3 p.m., police entered the house and found Lopez dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
