Russellville police responded to a call when Joshua Cartwright allegedly shot at bail bondsmen trying to bring him in on felony warrants. He fired from inside the apartment when officers arrived. Surrounding apartment complexes were evacuated, and police began to negotiate with him. He emerged from the apartment at 2:10 a.m. and began firing at police, and he was shot and killed by state troopers.
