Deadly force

Police responded to a disturbance at about 8 a.m. at a home. Officers removed a woman and three children out of the house after arriving. A gunshot allegedly was fired toward an officer from inside the house. The officer was standing outside a garage door in an attempt to make contact with the man inside when the shot was fired, police said. More shots were fired from inside the house at 11 a.m. At about 11:30 a.m. Joshua Evans came outside of the home's garage with a handgun. Officers shot and killed Evans.
