Deadly force
Deputies responded to a call about a man who had been driving erratically and crashed his truck into a ditch. Joshua A. Martin got out of the truck and put a gun to his head. When a deputy encountered him on the side of the road, Martin pulled the firearm from his waistband and pointed it toward the deputy. The deputy ordered Martin to drop the weapon, he refused, so the deputy shot and killed Martin. The deputy was cleared of any wrongdoing by DA.
