Driver Isaac Cullum fled from an attempted traffic stop and drew local police into a chase with speeds that reached 100 MPH. Cullum lost control and crashed into a tree, killing his girlfriend Josephine Grant Thomas and his cousin Patrick Eugene Harris. Police found themselves justified in the chase partly because Cullum had marijuana in his system.
